About Stronger Austin
Providing FREE group exercise classes and nutrition education virtually and at local community sites. Classes available in Spanish and English. What is Stronger Austin
Stronger Austin, powered by It’s Time Texas, in collaboration with the Austin Parks and Recreation Department, the Austin Public Health Department, the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living, and My Brother's Keeper, partners with local communities to improve access to health and wellness programs in both Austin, Texas, and across the entire state of Texas, through virtual programs.
Stronger Austin delivers FREE fitness classes and nutrition education programming, removing any financial barriers facing our most vulnerable communities and allowing for health to be accessible to all Texans. Stronger Austin’s FREE fitness classes are led by local community leaders in Austin, and are offered at community sites like schools, recreation centers, parks, churches, and clinics. Since April of 2020, Stronger Austin classes have been available virtually through the Zoom platform, providing access to community members lacking transportation or childcare, as well as opening up the programming to a statewide audience.
By bringing together a network of community leaders, organizations, programs, and nonprofits, Stronger Austin partners with all of Texas to build a healthier, more equitable community.
